We've been duped.
Mosh has spent his money on the club, and gets it debt free. He's not going to "splash the cash" - it's a cod.
One 20-30 million player will be about it and it will be an underwhelming signing. So basically, it's business as usual except the club is debt free.
Not weeing myself mate just stating that people should be realistic, no fire without smoke!
£35m for Sissoko (who is a good player under the right management) is a reflection of the current transfer market. Ibe, who's only claim to fame is he once toe punted it in a derby and hit the post has just gone for £15m. Its mental!...mate, with respect, it's a COMPLETELY different way of conducting business at the club now. Cloak & Dagger if you will, and about time to IMO.
Yet it's a no-win conundrum for the club - whoever comes in we'll be accused of overpaying/missing targets etc...it's important to remember that it's all about the build now and it's all about getting what they/he wants instead of mere putty that fills gaps.
It's good.
If by weekend we havent signed anyone then that will be a major worry...
Im hoping that this new setup means we have 3 or 4 players ready to be signed and are all inveiled on the same day....but these days that NEVER happens.

Everyone has money burning a hole in their pockets now - what can set us apart isn't blowing our wad on every player with a great rating or realistic face on Fifa but on players that will better the team and hopefully there are a few marquee signings to come but not all are going to be what we want or expect. Taking it back to Sissoko, no one would have expected him to keep the likes of Cabaye or Schneiderlin out of the French squad or for him to completely outdo Pogba in the final but he did. If Koeman thinks he's the right player to compliment what we have and what we might bring in them i'm happy with that and a £35m price tag is simply the way things are going. It's a brave new world boys and girls where we are actually fuming about potentially spending £35 MILLION - i repeat THIRTY FIVE MILLION POUNDS on a French international. It doesn't feel that long ago we were getting excited about Denis Stracqualursi coming in on loan.
Haha, that does not ever, ever happen with any club, let alone Everton. Can you imagine a Sky Sports yellow ticker bar - Breaking news: Everton complete the signings of Axel Witsel, Juan Mata, William Carvalho and Asmir Begovic for undisclosed fees.
Sorry. It doesn't work like that.
