Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Baffling how some are judging Gana on the opinions of Villa fans - the same who think Richards can defend and Grelish is a wonderkid.
Stoke fans think Shawcross is like Boateng, Wigan fans thought Kone was like Drogba & RM was Guardiola or something
LFC think Lucas is Busquets, Christ Celtic fans thought Mcgeady was a footballer.
Just saying fans reactions isn't much to go by - if you wish to use that logic look at LCFC fans about us getting the man who wants Idrissa... can't have it both ways

Only if we had a dishonest owner and board, plus incompetent auditors - even if they contemplated "creative accounting" it's not worth it and to the best of my knowledge Moshiri is not dishonest.

I think we'll increase the wage bill by between £20 and £40 million this year, we can't fudge our revenues by that amount - we will need to create a player trading profit to comply with STCC.
So if we sell players for £25m accounting profit in total + increase our non-TV revenues by £7m, we should be then allowed to increase our wage bill by £40m - as it is allowed to increase it by £8m per year with TV revenues? Am I right?

The number one thing a new owner can bring to a club is experience in generating revenue. That, income from European cups, and player trading is how you generate the revenue the super clubs do. I don't know exactly how STCC and FPP work, but there are likely ways to work around it, possibly involving staff.

And robbing someone blind for McCarthy and Cleverley

If the deal is reasonable and Koeman doesn't see them in his plans they'll be off. He will take the opportunity to build the squad to play the way he wants to play. As Martinez did by bringing in Barry and McCarthy and selling Fellaini.

Gotta say I'm disappointed with the recent players to be linked. I was dreaming Schneider and Mata in the midfield. Ship Gibson out not Mccarthy.

Mate. Its a balance.

You cannot throw a team together having spent £100 million and then expect them to simply perform. Spurs tried it. Failed. Liverpool have tried it about 26 times. Failed.

Its a balance.

You also need a fluid strategy. You don't put all your eggs in one basket if circumstances are changing around you.

Moshiri is a proper businessman. He knows this.

Seriously. You may think spending massive this summer makes sense. I've always said it might be better to spread it out a little more.

I won't change my mind on this. Since I use these same strategies and fluidity in my own businesses and it works. :coffee:

As opposed to the top financial institutions bringing in entire sales/trading desks to become the best around overnight.

I asked you before, whats your job?

The WRD lid said Koeman is livid with the balance of the squad, hell I spent a lot of time crying about it myself, the squad, whilst full of very talented players is so unbalanced its unreal, it has massive holes all over the place, it needs major work, not spaced out over 3 years, it needs it NOW, if we are to compete.

Who the hell wants to compete in 3 years?

I wanna compete next month, not in 2020.

Hence my 7275 posts on the topic.
