Yours was the consensus opinion at the end of the 2014/15 season. Look what he produced last year when 'his legs had gone'.

He didn't do much last season? Certainly wasn't in the team by the time we played them.
But my point is generally about Distin that he was perfectly fine when we finished one season and by the next one he had gone. No sign he was finished, hadn't lost much pace or stamina, still defending pretty well. There were no warning signs with him, it was just one season too many as a first choice player. You referenced Gareth Barry, saying that his legs had gone. This was the popular opinion before the start of last season, an opinion he firmly put to bed.
I'm not talking about Distin.

If what Esk is saying is true (I genuinely hope and believe it is), we'll definitely see one our current midfielder go and I think it might be McCarthy. Don't think he'd accept to not be in starting eleven. Just my opinion.
At the end of the day, right now Everton is a closed shop. Moshiri has everything on lockdown, there's been no official comment from the club whether we will spend nothing or everything. Both ends of the spectrum is drastic speculation.
Nobody knows anything that's going on, the information isn't there. Hence why the ITK crowd have been consistently wrong. People who used to have reliable sources don't anymore because nothing is leaked from the top. I wouldn't take a blind bit of notice of what anyone is saying on any anonymous forum or what the media are reporting.
From now on we're a professional outfit and when things happen they will happen.
Enjoy the rest of the transfer window.
