we could still get a decentish fee (relatively speaking) for Gibbo mate.

We certainly need improvements, just not a massive overhaul IMO.
Still don't think we'd get rid of him though! Despite wanting to, mind.

Let's say a central midfield overhaul then!

I don't know why anyone logs onto GOT to find out if we have signed anyone - go to the OS or the official Twitter/FB feeds if you want to find that out. It seems to be a Groundhog Day loop of fume after midday when no news has been announced. If anyone thinks we have no ambition/we're not signing anyone/we're going to go into the new season with what we've got then seriously - have a word with yourself. :coffee:

Usually stuff/rumours kick off about 3pm, die down by about 6, and then the cycle starts again...

I bet it's a difficult job for our reps to sell the club and it's future ambitions to top European players. We can't really put a clause on letting them leave if we don't European qualification either, as there's at least 8 teams in the league this year that have their sights on top 4.

All well and good having a so called war chest, we might have to do a Leicester and pluck quality from lower down the chain and hope they come good, a manager who looks capable of coaching will help that loads.

To be fair, Stekelenburg looked decent last night.
Please don't let a pre-season half decent performance against MK Dons mean we aren't in for a top goalkeeper this summer. Dear Lord. It's a position that needs addressing as number one priority, and I have no idea why it hasn't been resolved yet.

Steklenberg, pah. He's a modern day Jan Mucha or Carlo Nash as somebody else said.

Reading the Liverpool echo is like walking through a desert. They know even less than we do. Today some master of the obvious had written that the squad will improve when Lukakus back.
