Piss poor management once again.

Funds available, manager in place, real opportunity to get recruitment done and get players bedded in.

oh give it a rest Bob. Where's the evidence we aren't working on the deals? A lot of info from 'proven' sources seems to be pointing to the fact that we are...

Gibson just signed a new contract he isn't going anywhere, if we wanted rid then we would have let him go ala osman etc.

Clevs is abysmal, Mccarthy not much better imo! Not good enough compared to other centre midfielders of the premier league.

Barry is boss however, and Besic. But even then they need improving upon if we really want to do anything.
I just do not agree with that.
Why is Besic " boss" ? , based on what ? He has never had a long term run in the team apart from just after he arrived when he was thrown in at the deep end and was not ready.
I am not saying he won't be a good player for us in the future, but there is nothing concrete to back this up as yet.
McCarthy was a star in the team that finished fifth, yes, he has had a mediocre time in the last two seasons, but how many of the squad did not ?
He may well not fit into the managers plans , but is a good player.
Cleverley , to me , is a good squad player. Not every player will start every week, a squad needs a number of players, that can do a job in a few positions at a competent level.

As has been pointed out previously by others, these are not bad players, they have been badly managed and handled in the last two seasons. There has been very little structure in their defensive play and we have leaked goals and lost games because of this....but, that was primarily the fault of the manager and his staff..and where are they now?

The evidence is, wait for it, we've signed no one except a keeper from Fulham despite the window being open for a while.

Proven sources? Like who?

Not hard to understand even for you.

it's 17 days away...

And we're Everton

And this man is still involved with the club

People must think you just ring a club say you want a player and will pay X amount, club says ok thats fine, you then call agent and say we will pay a certain wage and its done,
Theres a lot more to it than that, clubs and players can ask for all kinds of add ons, anybody who thinks deals are done in a matter of days is wrong

It's happened a few times like that already this summer tbh. The rs signed Wijnaldum after making a bid literally the day before

Also the quality of player we're now looking at makes it harder to complete quicker.

Only takes a few clicks on FM

You honestly really think that's how it worked? Surely people aren't that nieve to think a bid was made the day before the actual transfer, surely?
