Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Look at it this way - we all moaned about Niasse being a panic buy; so you can't have it both ways. I'd rather the signings were considered and the right ones, than end up with a bunch of expensive McGeady's on long term contracts.

I won't pretend it hasn't been a disappointing few weeks, but we still have a month to go of this transfer window, and while we are playing catch up you have to believe there's a plan of action in place to start accelerating now that Walsh is in position and we do have money to spend.

I don't think we would have signed many before hiring the DoF and I think that was always the plan. I reckon until we hired Walsh, if someone absolutely sensational came along and Koeman liked the look of him, we'd have brought him in - but now we have the DoF, he's going to need a week or two in the role to really get to grips with the type of signings we need by discussing things with Koeman and developing a working relationship.

By this time next week, I'm convinced things will look significantly different. Let the Kopites et al laugh at us prematurely, and throw it right back in their faces very soon.

You're doing good work here. It needs to be done.

Spot on mate. I have faith our patience will ultimately be rewarded.

I never listen to Kopites.

I listen to my own judgement about Everton and people I trust like @The Esk

Spot on here. The way people are going on its like the last day of the window.

It isn't. I would like to see two signings in the next 7 days.

For [Poor language removed] sake. Having to deal with a newcastle fan who is taking the piss out of everton. It is absolutely painful. We need to sign somebody
Haha. Better off arguing with a brick wall mate. My favourite conversation with a Newcastle fan after they'd been relegated was when he said, 'seriously though, would you rather finish 18th and beat spurs 5-1 or finish 17th?'
lol

least they now avoid the annual two losses against Sunderland :)

I don't have a problem with signing a player this late, my problem is we need around 7 players and haven't manage to even get 1 done. Sorry, we have a keeper from Fulham. £100m to spend and we haven't spent a penny. I'm really not seeing anything new at all here. @TheEsk is probably a sound fella, and he maybe only passing information on, but he hasn't been right about anything transfer wise at all.
