Everton Transfer Thread 2016

The cold facts are, 2 weeks until the start of the season and we haven't improved the squad which has finished below mid table for 2 seasons on the bounce.

It's no wonder people's heads are falling off, you can't blame them!

Record season ticket sales too.

I'm sure we are not, but some could be forgiven for thinking they are being hyped without substance.

Nothing will be the same? Hmmm it looks very familiar just at the moment.

Can't believe for one minute though that we will get to the end of this week without adding, can we?

Look at it this way - we all moaned about Niasse being a panic buy; so you can't have it both ways. I'd rather the signings were considered and the right ones, than end up with a bunch of expensive McGeady's on long term contracts.

I won't pretend it hasn't been a disappointing few weeks, but we still have a month to go of this transfer window, and while we are playing catch up you have to believe there's a plan of action in place to start accelerating now that Walsh is in position and we do have money to spend.

I don't think we would have signed many before hiring the DoF and I think that was always the plan. I reckon until we hired Walsh, if someone absolutely sensational came along and Koeman liked the look of him, we'd have brought him in - but now we have the DoF, he's going to need a week or two in the role to really get to grips with the type of signings we need by discussing things with Koeman and developing a working relationship.

By this time next week, I'm convinced things will look significantly different. Let the Kopites et al laugh at us prematurely, and throw it right back in their faces very soon.

Hello reasonable Tubey.:bye:

The thing I don't get is why Moshiris first transfer activity would be to sell Stones? Surely we would make a decent signing first (like a Sh*t sandwich)

Well I trust what The Esk says - the information he gives is only as good as the information he is given. He's put his neck on the line saying Mata, Witsel and Carvalho will be done by the end of the window. Oh it will be the stuff of dreams
Agreed and he can only pass on in good faith what he gets told. I appreciate this.

What I find strange is there doesn't seem to be any quotes from the club or Stones himself about leaving. It's all paper talk.

But his information has already proven to be dog dirt over the last few weeks.
