Everton Transfer Thread 2016

It really isn't. Go look.

It's because we think we are going to sign those three particular players and they think the idea is ludicrous.

I really believed it and got so excited when an administrator on here told us one or more of these deals were 'wrapped up' several weeks ago. That now looks like utter nonsense and it's gutting.

Nah you're fine, I've no interest in reading other teams forums - I can barely stand our own these days ;)

Thinking that us signing Mata or Witsel is ludicrous.... is ludicrous. Let them judge as much as they want as they're invariably wrong.

"That now looks like utter nonsense and it's gutting." - Why does it look like it's nonsense? Are 'Stones to City', 'Pogba to United', 'Bonucci to City' all nonsense too? They've been in the papers for longer and have not been completed yet.... nonsense, Manchester United obviously spunked all their money already and have nothing left to spend, must be woodword making phantom bids again.

I reckon you'd be doing well to find a set of fans that are more masochistic than ourselves, we're like Opus Dei or something - absolutely ribboning ourselves in the back with a spiked whip or something.

I've said this loads of times on here at this stage so apologies if I sound like a broken record, but just relax... the hysteria across this thread is ridiculous and if the transfer window has this effect for you, then you should swerve it. Simply not worth it you know. (This isn't just directed at yourself, it's a general thing).

Fuming, fighting, sniping, trolling, abusing, celebrating, crying, laughing.... it doesn't matter what actions the transfer window is drawing out of you as it changes nothing - at the end of the window we will have signed who we've signed regardless of anything anyone on this forum or any other says. If you can sit back and enjoy the ride then do it.... if it's something that isn't enjoyable for you then don't do it. It's just absolute insanity for people to come on here and punish themselves in the way they're doing now, all this while wrecking the heads of everyone else that's trying to enjoy the buzz of the window without having a nervous breakdown.

I'm perfectly relaxed about the whole thing, I can see why players wouldn't come to us, we don't have a lot to offer at the moment apart from cold hard cash and a grandiose plan of how were going to be better. Players might actually be taking a step back and seeing how this whole thing plays out.

Yes and as I have stated loads the squad under achieved, which is why a certain Catalan lost his job (as 'the best squad we've had in years' finished 11th)!

The squad as it stands needs reinforcements, definitely, but it is more than capable of making it through the first four games of the season!

Table never lies Toff.
Spurs in 2 weeks.

I'm sure nobody here really cares...

I love the idea of other internet whoppers laughing at us like they're any better. Do you really want us to keep up appearances for the likes of RAWK. I must have amnesia since I have no recollection of GOT being a place for sensible, well reasoned debate.

:D

Mate, I certainly don't care what's being said on other forums. I was responding to a poster that was talking about it - pointing out the fact that some of the reactions on this forum are far more embarrassing to me than the fact that we've not spend much yet (this I really don't care about, not yet at least).

Let's take a look at who Bournemouth have signed...

- Ibe (RS, £15mil)
- Lewis Cook (Leeds, undisc.)
- Brad Smith (RS, undisc.)
- Nathan Ake (Chelsea, loan)
- Emerson Hyndman (Fulham, undisc.)
- Lys Mousset (Le Havre, £5.4m)

Some huge names there...

Every team has their level of player they can attract.........I'm not saying Everton would be in for those players but they have done some business which is good for their team !! What have we bought again....Hmmmmm

You do realise if it had been acceptable for a squad with so many talented players to finish 11th Martinez wouldn't have been sacked, right.

And yes, Spurs in two weeks. The side we drew twice with last year despite supposedly having an awful side...

New manager, good feel around the club (hopefully yes some new signings as well).

Bring it on.

a reserve goalkeeper. so what?

the targets we are aiming to bring in are of a much higher quality, and since we've under-performed for the last two years they are naturally going to take longer.

that's how it works.
