Chelsea confident of getting Lukaku back

Oh, but we are looking likely to sign a relegated midfielder who doesnt know what his real name is

In the bin, lad.

Would imagine it's already been posted somewhere, but this from that bellend Jeremy Cross, almost like a 'get back in your box' slap down.

Everton will always be a feeder club… it’s time for them to sell John Stones to Man City

JOHN STONES is rolling towards another summer of discontent that will test his patience to the ultimate limit.
  • Everton star has the footballing world at his feet following a stunning rise to stardom that has seen him become one of the finest defensive prospects in Europe.

But he must feel like his boots are tied together right now. The Toffees must have rocks in their heads if they believe Stones, 22, is worth £50m.

This time 12 months ago Chelsea were the club attempting to sign Stones, but saw three bids totalling £30m steadfastly rejected.

  • But what has Stones done in the meantime to increase his value by £20m? Nothing.

He endured a poor second half of last season as the Chelsea hangover refused to disappear and went to Euro 2016 with England but didn't make an appearance.

Stones remains a top quality player, one of those rare English defenders who looks comfortable on the ball and with the potential to go on an emulate Rio Ferdinand.

This is what makes him such an attractive proposition to his latest suitors, Manchester City and their boss Pep Guardiola.

  • It comes as no surprise that Stones wants to join City and work with Guardiola. Who wouldn't?
But once again the Toffees are refusing to sell unless the deal is on their terms and the whole situation is threatening to turn into another fiasco.

Stones is with Ronald Koeman's men on their pre-season tour of Germany and looks throughly miserable.

He's been here before and knows how stubborn the Toffees can be. But Koeman's outfit need to swallow some pride and accept that keeping Stones against his will is benefiting no-one.

The Toffees will always be a feeder club to those with more financial muscle, but even billionaires like City draw the line somewhere and the Merseyside outfit have to be more realistic.

Stones is still young. He has much more maturing and developing to do and should be allowed to do this at the Etihad, where his talent can be fulfilled.
How dare we try and sell on our terms?! Everton disgust me sometimes, I'm gonna start a petition to get mosh to pay city to take him! #freestones
