I'm not too concerned, think there'll be a relatively big signing or two by the end of the window. My worry would be the missed opportunity in the first few games to put a marker down.

I understand why the DOF and manager move on to other targets it's getting close to the kick-off. You're absolutely correct though, ideally new players come in and gal with the team asap during the summer break. However, it looks our major targets are unable to join but we want to improve the team as Koeman must have seen enough of the team he inherits. Gueye and Williams, these two look like Walsh signings to me.

Just think that move probably isn't dependent on the sale of anyone / is a real need / and is a pretty vital area.
Like everyone..... hoping this " new" era starts with some signings and success on the pitch . I know it will be a long process but I want to see some actual improvement to go along our heightened hopes

Oh aye, we need a very decent number 1 regardless. Worst case scenario we started with Robles and Sbergz then we would be about the same as last season in that department. Here's hoping for better.

If true they've a combined value of 17m and would add competition to at least the squad if not the team. For 2m less than a Jordan Ibe. So aye you're right it probably is Walsh working on them.

Spurs will be a tough game, regardless, then we have the slow talkers away and Stoke at home, if we dont get at least 7 points from them the marker is already down lad.

Williams was ripped apart on espn asia a few times due to his weaknesses (for the life of me i cant remember what they were)...not last season though.

At his age hes a one season signing with potentially 2 seasons at the top level. It smacks of desperation of needing leadership in the squad.

Have to say Manolas seems to be available and if roma want Mori then we should try to deal with them + cash.

We may have money but if we spent £18mil on:

Williams
Gueye
Stekelenburg

It would be embarassing.

Gueye, Williams, Brady I have to say most fans would expect much bigger names than them to be honest. Underwhelming. Are we going to give up on those big money negotiations and do it in Walsh's way on transfer? Carvalho, Koulibaly, Mata, Witsel I was hoping for these in June.

I think the problem is attracting top class players who are willing to live in northwest England to play for a currently mid table premier league side.
