I still don't understand what's wrong with Robles, he stepped up when it was clear Howard was finished. He's made no crucial mistakes and has looked like an all round solid GK, he deserves at least a season imo

We should be more concerned about a CB and a ST

The fact that Dominic King said Chelsea haven't even made a bid says a lot when all the London papers said we have rejected bids.

the leaking isn't to get to Lukaku mate. It's PR. It's like politics. Club's use the media to set agendas.

As the media in this country is so London-centric, they'll jump on anything like that, even if there's very little substance - same with the Manchester clubs as well in fairness, and to an extent Liverpool.

Chelsea are leaking that they've bid and we're 'holding Rom back' and that 'Lukaku deffo wants to leave'.

That then leads to unrest in fans (think about the reactions on here, for example - 'if he wants to leave I'll drive him there', 'not worth £30mil', 'sell him he's lazy').

Now, in fairness, CFC aren't doing anything wrong and we do it ourselves. Joyce and Hunter know their stuff re. Everton, King and a few of the local NW-based journos get snippets.

The Mail usually push the Lukaku to Chelsea story through Matt Law (who is well sourced at Chelsea). The Mail push the 'Lukaku staying at Everton' story through King (NW journo). It was the same last year with Stones. Basically, they're covering themselves either way.

The Mirror's Damien Lewis is the main one pedalling the story for them - again he gets spoon-fed the info from Chelsea (a leak).

It's all very 'The Thick Of It' really

Any clause should be North of 80m. 4 years ago 80m got you the best player in the world.

4 years from now you are looking at £150m. Football inflation is nuts.
 

7 players in .... Who : Mata / Carvalio / Witzel / Williams / Gueye / keeper / striker ?? Am u far away with this ? Keeper will it be Begovic ? Or the Gernan lad everyone is talking about ? Striker ... If Rom stays will it be just the one ... A striker that can hold the ball up ? Benteke ? Bony ?
