Alright then, answer me this. Why would Koeman leave a nice job at Southampton, with one left on his deal for Everton, full well in the knowledge that if he didn't sign a new deal, he'd have everyone clawing for him next season - especially Arsenal?

Because Southampton didn't want him to stay unless he signed a new deal?

Like he said himself in his first press conference for us?

This transfer window is as bad as anything Kenwright served up, At least he didn't pretend to have massive amounts to spend

The 28-year-old has been attracting plenty of transfer interest from the Premier League this summer, with Sky Sports reporting that a number of clubs – two of which will play in the Champions League this season – have made enquiries.

Slimani, who is expected to cost upwards of £20million, also snubbed an improved contract offer from Sporting earlier this week, making a summer transfer to the Premier League all the more likely.
