Player Valuation: £70m
I'm suitably informed of a hot new plaything so he's not coming out much anyway...If we spend big in the next 3 weeks the vaulting material will keep @chicoazul indoors until October.

It was on until he failed the medical ... found to be sane & in control of his faculties. Now back at GOT Farm.
Exactly. Look at the fees and clubs the Leicester side that won the league was bought from. Not everyone can afford the spending of city and United. We are not in a position to attract that calibre of player at the moment. Would have loved koulibaly to replace stones, but obviously we are not in that position to attract that level of player. Williams and Kone will provide stability at the back, but it's the midfield we are really lacking in at the moment.Jags and Lescott were both from championship sides, both turned into England internationals. Baines was from Wigan, turned into Europe's best left back, Colemam from the Irish League, right back in the PFA team of the year. Stones from Barnsley. It is lazy just to deride any player not from a CL side.
Did you think we were just going to go to Europe's top sides and bid for their first team players?
Bloody hell.
That's a bit unsavoury.

I still feel we can snag a big fish late on in the window if we keep a spare £50m+ in the kitty.
Heavy that la. Offer him a straightner.
I thought the idea of football is to have the best team not the best Panini sticker collection.
See Leicester last season for the best example.
Man Utd have all the headline players, just as they did in the 70's and 80's but hardly won a thing other than a couple of FA cups.
Also, a Nissan Skyline performs every bit as good as a Ferrari but not as glamorous and a quarter of the price.
The same applies to footballers.
Think about it, the likes of Lewandowski, Kante and Payet all started somewhere and could have been bought for peanuts if spotted before anyone else.
I don't care how much we spend on players. All I want is that they perform well as a team and finish high up the table as well as win a pot or two.
Let's see how the season pans out before the knives come out and the bonfires are lit.
Not sure what that means mateHow very Hibbo
Gareth Barry was one of our better players last year. Obviously at his age he isn't going to take us to the next level, but he was our best central midfielders last year. As for Williams, stones is potentially a great defender, williams is a good defender and more importantly a great leader and communicator. Who would you rather have bought and more importantly who could we have attracted at this moment in time other than Williams.Esk has re-tweeted someone comparing us to Juve selling Pogba and how it doesn't mean we have no ambition. You'd probably say Juventus have no ambition if they replaced Pogba with Gareth Barry, because that's what the Williams deal looks like to me.
Sanity. It won't catch on....
