Everton Transfer Thread 2016

It's a reasonable question.

If we're in the same state come Sept 1st, then serious questions have to be asked.
Honestly the questions should be asked now given the season starts on Sept 1st. If things haven't changed the questions will be unavoidable after Sept 1st.

I won't be concerned until the end of the window mate. I've said all along I'm waiting until then to judge as I believe our squad is strong enough to get through the opening games of the campaign.

If the additions don't come in then I won't be happy, but it's out of my control so I'm not gonna fret about it
And that's it.

It's fine, 6 weeks til the start of the new season.

Has turned into

Still 3 weeks of the window left.

And the only time we have looked like we are doing anything has when we have sold one of our assets and even then the total outlay is only matching that amount.

And we have gone from buying room champions league clubs to clubs either relegated or spend most of their season in a relegation battle.

Facts don't lie. Sadly it looks like it's going to take something special to not repeat the same summer thst we have all grown accustomed to

this has nothing to do with the Esk mate
So can I ask why you think Mata is a possibility because I think the links that are out there all originate from boards like these?

Mata would be a great signing. He could even be the lift we need but I just with the way this window has gone don't expect it to be done.

Midnight on deadline day can't come quick enough.

Who thought it would be a good idea to have the window open three games into the season ffs.

I want to be 100% looking forward to and excited about the first game, rather than being sat there on Saturday fuming about a lack of signings when Spurs go 1-0 up.

And I'm a believer in the new regime

Saturday's crap lineup is the direct output of our terrible transfer window dealings. There is no reason why we shouldnt have a backup striker, GK, LW in by now. Everton was an awful run club before and they appear to still be run awfully.
