Everton Transfer Thread 2016

But that's my point. We need to strengthen these positions and if we aren't going to do that then it's yet another false dawn in our modern history. As useful these players signing now may be, they aren't improving us. We aren't better than West ham right now even with new signings unless at least 4 players suddenly realise that they can actually play better. I use West ham as an example simply because they have surpassed us squad wise .

If we don't actually sign better than we are still going nowhere but mid table. Considering the thousands of players we can possibly sign, the fact we are shopping at palace villa and Sunderland. Does that not concern you at all? Even just a little bit, that we are currently down to have a net spend close to 0 despite having a new investor and increased TV money?

We will see what some to pass but from Koemans quotes, I am not expecting the transfer window I was hoping for.

Before Koeman was appointed and well before Martinez was sacked it was widely reported that Moshiri would hand the manager £100 million this summer. I accept that there are no direct quotes from the club saying we would have that kind of money but there were "noises" coming from the club. Justin listen to what Kenwright was saying when he was parading Moshiri around corporate hospitality.

Factoring in the sale of Stones for £47 million and with Koeman saying he expects 3/4 signings I don't see us spending anything like what was originally reported.

I won't be concerned until the end of the window mate. I've said all along I'm waiting until then to judge as I believe our squad is strong enough to get through the opening games of the campaign.

If the additions don't come in then I won't be happy, but it's out of my control so I'm not gonna fret about it

I very much doubt we are even in for Mata. Bolasie and Kone are good buys. Our problem is that we need more positions strengthened and frankly they have had a whole summer to do so.

pretty sure we are 'in' for him...

whether he'll end up being signed is a different Mata all together (sorry)
