Everton Transfer Thread 2016

I wonder how much Berahinho would cost and would he want to come here?

Actually he did cross my mind yesterday just as another option to at least consider.

Imagine they would look for £30M + now but there doesn't seem to be firm bids from anyone and Pulis has already said he would need a replacement first. You would think having loaned them Galloway, that if there was any interest, we would have discussed it already. Who knows?

I think he has talent and could potentially flourish with the right management. Pochettino wanted him and he hasn't signed many duds. I can't see it though but again, we could do worse.

That would potentially free up Berahinho......

Would be nice if we could poach a potential Stoke signing for change, as opposed to them always poaching ours

Mikey, I'd far rather our only involvement with Stoke to be soundly thrashing them home and away - would love them to be a 6-point banker :)

We won't be looking to mirror it. We'll be playing how Koeman likes to play with is fast direct football, primarily on the deck.

Just watch Southampton for the past two years.

It'll be based on that, but ideally with better players to take us to the next level.

How often did teams park the bus against saints mate, that style can work only if your given the space behind.

Not sure what your point is mate. I responded to someone saying Moshiri hasn't invested and we haven't even spent the Stones money. My post was to disprove that.

The secondary point is the alleged £100m transfer fund. The one that everyone took up from the press speculation. Well as I said earlier we've made a dent in that and we appear to be making significant bids for a number of players. Can't help but agree that it's disappointing that we haven't had more success in the market for our key (and expensive) targets so far, and I'm hoping the next week will be more fruitful, but I just don't get the view that many are putting out that Moshiri is a fraud and an asset stripper and is not intent on spending money to build a team to challenge for titles and trophies, especially when there is still the most important week of the transfer window to come.

Some people just love to wallow in negativity and seem to just live for that 'told you so' moment rather than seeing where we are once the window 'slams' shut.

This 'Evertonian entitlement' is a worrying trend. We all want improvement but you'd think us above most would want it to be right and have some tolerance and patience.
Anyone thinking we're not in a better position now compared to this time last year needs to rein in expectations, give their head a nuclear wobble or pipe down.
Off the pitch we are much better positioned to develop. The chicken and egg conundrum of infrastructure v players seems to be being addressed at last.

why would we want him though?
Little overrated knobhead...
He had one decent season, and suddenly think he's too good for WestBrom. I hope they let him rot withthe reserves, I dont want that kind of player even close to our Everton.

Think the problem was the absurd comparisons between us and when City were taken over. There were lengthy threads about it. A lot of people's expectations were off the scale.

Agree with you mate, but hold on - I now realise what I'm missing out on...
