Klopp would play him at full back and Caulker up top!
I do think he's a good player, but would, as some have said, pretty be another Naismith. If we're looking for a back up striker though I think we could do a lot worse.

The time to sign Long was when Cahill left.
Wouldn't take any notice about Long, I like him and he would've been a great Moyes era striker but he's not Roberto's type at all.
My favourite rubbish from the papers today is the star going with-
'Manchester City are leading rivals Manchester United in the race to sign Everton star Ross Barkley.'
Leading them at what exactly? If there's a price on Ross they can both afford it with their infinite money so does this mean City are quicker at sending faxes and that will give them the edge should we ever dream of selling him?

Long is a crab who would cost £10mill+ not to play with probably next to nothing resale value depending on how long he says, doesn't score enough and always has a chewie in his grid and doesn't share the pack. If we're gonna spend money like that on him we might as well have kept Naismith

the really depressing thing is someone gets paid very well to write this stuff.
What style is that? We're at our best when playing on the counter attack - which is what Long does best.
Irrelevant really as I don't think we'll sign him, but for a back up striker and a real alternative to Lukaku I think it would be a good option. Always liked Long, though he does look like he needs a slap every now and then - kind of got an annoying face.
*I should stress, I wouldn't want to pay more than £6mil for him. The RS will probalby stump up £15mil.
