We should have had a back up plan.

I think he probably was our back up and by all accounts was sort of pushed on us by his agent, I think really we were used to get his move to Spurs to push the price up, very sneaky and out of order but that's modern football.

We got Europe and almost CL with pretty much the same squad 3 seasons ago. Poor management took us down to 11th. Good management plus Gueye and the other changes could well see us back up there again. I'm not so worried.

I hope you're proven right but I'm worried because I think we're relying on bad management from some of the big teams to give us a chance. I think we've got a good first team but it's just really dissapointing as, if the warchest was really there, this window was the perfect time to give us the best chance going forward. I just see it as a huge missed opportunity.

Maybe just maybe our biggest signing was Koeman. Let's face it, we probably had a decent team last few years but it was guided correctly and they weren't fit.

With a few additions and a real leader in Williams, we might not be in as bad as a position as we are making out here. Geuye looks mustard and Bolasie needs to step up!

And let's be fair Steklenburg has saved us 4 points already this season from the seven we have.
