Everton Transfer Thread 2016

The bottom line is that this is a [Poor language removed] transfer window, underwhelming in every respect.

Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is a bad wool.

We snuffed em out for an hour thats why they 'werent on it' and the fitness levels were markedly lower (as koeman said)
Since then we've signed bolaise and williams whilst developing holgate into what looks to be a seriously impressive prospect
We're sitting in fourth with a 20 goal striker who's yet to find form and our kids have just thrashed the team at the top of league one

Yet people are moaning cause they dont get to play transfer deadline top trumps
I'm not down on the team. It think Koeman is doing a good job but we are a hard working defensive team with a top striker. There's actually very little quality.

A bit like a Moyes team actually except with someone who will get us goals. If we stay injury free I think we have a shot at Europa League.

However that's a big IF.

Why? Why? Why? Am I seeing posts about 'net spend', 'Kenwright Out', 'Moshiri Out', 'The world owes us something because we are EFC'!?! Wake up. We aren't in Europe, we aren't a consistent European Place contender anymore. We have something to prove. So let's prove it. I would rather wait and keep the money in my pocket, than spend it on overrated tripe that is Sissoko. Gana - good signing and is everything it says on the tin so far, Williams is the same, Bolasie - undecided but not negative, Stek - steady so far. What's the panic??? Let's all take a breath, put the tennis balls down and see where we are in January. God forbid we actually make some positive noise inside the old lady of a weekend.....

Really?

Underwhelming last week, certainly. Overall five solid additions who improve us - though maybe not to the quality we imagined.

Oh, and key, a manager who knows how to manage a Premier League football team

Its just feels piss poor. Going for players who clearly dont want to move and we dont have the clout to budge them. But its not having the back up plan thats the kicker. Thats what Walsh is there for isn't he?

You telling me he couldn't find a Del, Besic, Mahrez for eg type player for less than £20mill? From what I saw was us going for players at clubs playing European football rated at £30mill± and then saying "maybe...until a better club show up"

How come we didnt go for little known targets we could get, or unsettled ones in the prem?

My point was that PAYET makes that squad.

Even with Lukaku playing badly, we're winning games and playing well.

We've got a squad capable of competing for top 8 - and a manager who knows how to get a squad worse than ours (S'ton were last year on paper) into the top 6 - above the 'mighty' W.Ham, RS, Stoke etc.
And my point is Lukaku makes ours.

What were we like before Rom came on against West Brom?
