Everton Transfer Thread 2016

Wouldn't say any of these have made changes for the sake of it.

2 have to try and stay up, Watford have strengthened and West Ham have filled a blatant gap in their squad.

Watford didn't need to sign a whole new side at start of season. Sunderland bought for fun pre Allardyce. Bournemouth buy 2 players for every 1 they need and West Ham buy players to woo the fans

Obviously opinions are opinions

Personally I feel there is something majorly changing in the club. Only reason why we can't bring anyone in...surely Martinez can see the need for signings

Seen a stat regarding Townsend the other day were he has had over 100 shots from outside the area in the league and only scored 3 of them.
Haha - even worse than I thought.

It's strange, because he was very effective on loan at QPR and for England, but at Tottenham he always looks dreadful.

mate, you want to be like Newcastle??? there is something to be said for not going out and spunking cash on just any old cart-horse. If we were 30+m down after buying who they bought I would be incandescent with rage. If we get someone: fine, if not, it really doesn't matter. This season is done. Mid-table mediocrity assured. We're only one Steven Naismith down.
Yes in a way Im jealous. They want some...they buy him no fuzz if it's a bit steep price. If we end up with nothing this window youll understand what I mean. We need a lift. Good signing would/could be it.

Or they'd not be called opinions - pretty obvious really !

Everton's window shut after we signed Shani Tarashaj, effectively.

Ha, yeah I saw all the sarcastic (but very funny) answers to this question - but I live in Alaska and need to figure out if I'm gonna be at work, be in bed or what when we do all our usual business of panic loans 1 minute before the damn thing shuts.

Update from Ukraine on Yarmolenko, for Arsenal and Everton interest

Looking less and less likely to be moving away from Dynamo Kiev by the day, Andriy Yarmolenko’s future looks like it will be decided in the summer instead.

Linked with the likes of Everton and Arsenal, the Ukrainian winger is currently recovering from an injury he picked up in December, hoping to be fit in time for the clash against Manchester City in February.

Reaching an agreement with his president that he would be allowed to move if the right offer came along both for himself and the club, it would appear that no such bid has been made yet.

One man, however, who thinks Yarmolenko should move sooner rather than later is former Shakhtar Donetsk striker Andriy Vorobey.

Speaking to Ukrainian TV channel Futbol1, relayed by Terrikon, he said: “Is it time for Yarmolenko to leave Dynamo? Of course! I think the player needs to be somewhat confident and insist on leaving. Andriy is in decent shape. Dynamo will play in the Champions League and doesn’t want to let him go, waiting until the summer.”

As for what will happen in the summer: “No one knows. We have a league where players can both grow and decline.”

Currently on their winter break, the Ukrainian Premier League starts again on the 4th of March, but Dynamo’s next official game will be against Manchester City on the 24th of February.
