Update from Ukraine on Yarmolenko, for Arsenal and Everton interest

Looking less and less likely to be moving away from Dynamo Kiev by the day, Andriy Yarmolenko’s future looks like it will be decided in the summer instead.

Linked with the likes of Everton and Arsenal, the Ukrainian winger is currently recovering from an injury he picked up in December, hoping to be fit in time for the clash against Manchester City in February.

Reaching an agreement with his president that he would be allowed to move if the right offer came along both for himself and the club, it would appear that no such bid has been made yet.

One man, however, who thinks Yarmolenko should move sooner rather than later is former Shakhtar Donetsk striker Andriy Vorobey.

Speaking to Ukrainian TV channel Futbol1, relayed by Terrikon, he said: “Is it time for Yarmolenko to leave Dynamo? Of course! I think the player needs to be somewhat confident and insist on leaving. Andriy is in decent shape. Dynamo will play in the Champions League and doesn’t want to let him go, waiting until the summer.”

As for what will happen in the summer: “No one knows. We have a league where players can both grow and decline.”

Currently on their winter break, the Ukrainian Premier League starts again on the 4th of March, but Dynamo’s next official game will be against Manchester City on the 24th of February.

Champions league qualifiers and maybe league winners Arsenal battle it out with mid table Everton.

Could go on through the summer making that decision.

If we were serious about Yarmolenko something would've happened already - good or bad. That one's bitten the dust.

Got to bring someone in though - squad feels stale.

were you hear this mate?

Couple of blag rags mate. Khazri would be about 10m euros Slimani would be 30m, we ain't getting both of them on the same day though I do actually think it's realistic that we'll get either one of them, unless we do a Man City before it closes. Khazri seems to be off to the mackems too which may mean we're just gonna try one big bid for Slimani. Would definitely explain why there's been so little activity.

If we lose Lukaku in the summer which it looks likely unless we improve dramatically, how about a cheeky bid for Bony?
Nah.

Kiev bloke has been in touch.

100% bids from us, Arsenal, and Dortmund. Possible 2nd bid from us to get move this window. But very unlikely he will move this window, unless Barca/RM pipe up.

There is a price that all 3 clubs know, and when met, permission granted to talk to player. Rest will be up to player.
