Everton Transfer Thread 2016

If it's a case of buying to a budget, then I'd be up for some Tom "The Beast" Heaton

However, if Moshiri opens the purse strings, I think Martinez should set up camp in Jack "The Mack" Butland's front garden the minute the transfer window opens and just keep adding zero's to a blank cheque until he agrees to come in
Butland just signed new 5 year stoke deal, 2 days ago.

Im going to go all footy manager now!

In
Praet - Anderlecht
Lacazette - Lyon
Some boss german goalie
A new manager

Out
I would pretty much not be to bothered about who goes as they all fall on one list or the other as 1)not performing/good enough 2) we will receive hella money for them and they havent exactly took us far at the moment

Only ones i would fight to keep are Rom, Ross, Geri and Stones

I wouldn't mind Sergi Roberto tbh. He's been phenomenal for Barca this season.

Interesting one him...we were linked for ages and thinking hed be in DM for us if he signed....then he comes in to barcas 1st team at RB.

Meant to bave been a reasonable fee as well. I think if martinez knew how good he could have been at RB then we would have gone for him.

Weird thing with Barca that they dont seem to have the quality coming through at the moment though i may be wrong.

Do you like Praet compared to Tielemans and the other kid theyve got in midfield....?

he looks too lightweight to me and doesnt have the "aura" of a top playmaker.

You mean Dendonker?
I like Praet as i think he would fit in on that left hand side better than the other two. Similar player to Pienaar/Eriksson/ Coutinho in my opinion.
The other 2 are definatly more central based players.
Although looking at Mitrovic and Mbemba, players coming from that league havent exactly set the league on fire

Praet's looking like he's starting to really kick on as well isn't he... from what I've seen of him this season he's reached a better level of consistency than he had before, though that being said I do think we could do with a more 'proven' player for that role.

Problem we have with the likes of Praet coming along nicely is that the bigger sides will come in and take them ahead of us as these players have been known for years.
The time to go for him was probably in the summer when he was getting linked with west brom and villa.
The minute a player like Praet becomes availible or Tielemans or Dendonker then the likes of Liverpool, Spurs, West Ham will all be made aware of this and step in and snatch them up

We'll still have a very good chance of getting them mate. We've been scouting Praet for a while, by all accounts.

Considering our defence is so terrible the last 2 seasons (Martinez obviously being a major factor)
Would you look to ship out any of our defenders/midfielders to change personel, or do you just put it down to poor management and lack of organisation?

I don't want to sign a single player with 'potential' for at least 2 seasons. All this squad is is potential with a few old heads thrown in. Give me 3 or 4 26/27/28 year olds who are class right now like Payet, and let's start getting tangible results.
Exactly what I was thinking.

Just blow £20m+ on someone who is going to make a difference now.

Silly.
Just because as have money doesn't mean we should stop doing what we do best transfer wise.

Just means there is. Better quality of played available to us, and the ability to sign two or three top class players.
There's no point in just signing players with potential in the hope that they'll become top players. We need to sign some established players who can hit the ground running and who the youngsters can learn from.

Look at Arsenal. Don't get me wrong I'd love to be in their position but up until very recently they've been a team that generally brings in good young players and develop them. Then they fk off to a team with proper ambition to win stuff. Where has it got them lately?
