Good idea mate.

Theres just 1 vital thing you appear to be missing.

Bony is utter TOSH, I wouldnt pay 20p for the lazy sack of crap.
he actually isnt. Scored goals at swansea quite regularly.

considering the lad started this season with malaria, Its hard to judge him on why he isnt ripping the league up as second choice striker at city.

Its a realistic target, available, experienced, not too old and scores goals. Perfect replacement, without spending too much on a gamble.

Edit- plus we aren't going to replace lukaku with a like for like signing.

Have you watched him for City tho?

He strolls round the pitch and doesnt even look interested.

Hes lost his hunger, we need hungry players, not journeymen no marks looking for their next payday.

If that is the case then fair enough, just going on previous time at swansea tbh

2013/14 Swansea 48 appearances 25 goals
2014/15 swan/city 34 appearances 11 goals
2015/16 city 28 appearances 8 goals

Fair enough he's not a starter at city But you'd be gambling on him showing his first seasons form or it's quite a step down

Don't we have enough money now to gamble less

We should have got him pre-Swansea, I heard the deal was almost done and then for some reason Moyes just pulled out last minute.

Hes got a great scoring record, as you can see its on par with Lukakus, just a bit worried how hes played the same amount of games as Rom with being 5 years older, but suppose not many start at 16 like Rom.

Watched him a few times for City and he looks a different player, at Swansea he would lead the line superbly and came off dripping, at City, its just not there anymore.

Maybe a move would spark him back to life, but you say its not a gamble, the talent is there, but is the hunger? So in that respect it would be a gamble.

He only had one good season at Swansea so it's hard to say that's the true Bony

Well yeah fair enough if he has dropped in quality now then I wouldn't want us to go for him as the direct replacement. Just was thinking from a general perspective that he is big strong and can score goals. If he is far too gone from being a main striker now then I'd give it a swerve.

Need a striker who can score 20 goals either way. So yeah its best to spend a bit more if need be
