CM has to be a priority there is no choice - Gbamin has done nothing since he got here when he has been involved, the lad is a busted flush sadly.

More OUTS , fewer ins , more quality

Priority No 1 - 2 x CM of the highest quality.

What is Unicorn land is expecting 1 new CM to cover for a spineless midfield and a sick note that will suddenly come good in 2 years .

The question is cash. We can all see CM is a problem, but so is RW, RB, GK, and if we aren’t using Branthwaite in the team, then so is CB.
We also have an enormous squad and if we get rid of half the excess we’ll be doing well.
I just think they will assess Gbamins recovery and leave it late in the window. If it’s not looking good they will need someone, possibly a loan depending on cash.

The odds on us doing much next season are slim at best, even if we signed a whole new squad.

All these people saying "If we don't sign XXXX, we wont do anything next season", will be back around December saying "SEE I TOLD YOU".

Roca and Koopmeiners might be possibilities, capable defensively and can pass (plus more left footers is never a bad thing). McKennie is more of a physical presence. Then of course there are Allan and Rabiot.

We could sell every player on the list and it wouldn't even come close to the fee we would get for Mina.

That's why i said fee plus wages.

Not for me, we wanted an extra centre back last season, we were short all last season and we won't be buying two centre backs this summer.

We're utterly overloaded with cente mids and wingers that will offer far less than mina. Heres a list :

You can add walcott and bernard who offer just as much too. But we should be looking at offloading 2 or 3 from that list above instead of mina. The combined fee and wages would be a lot more than what we'd get for mina.

I agree, but to be fair, those people are infinitely preferable to the ones who spend all summer saying everything's fantastic and they don't know why people are concerned because the business we've done is phenomenal, and then completely lose their rag and want the manager sacked after 5 games. Literally the same people who were calling Silva incompetent for not winning all of our first 5/6 games this season were saying 6 months later that Ancelotti was performing miracles for getting a draw at home.
