There's a lot to be said for the manager already knowing the mentality/temperament of both Allan and Rodriguez.

Even Doucoure to an extent, Brands would have been told all about him by Silva.

If, and it's a big IF, delph is fit do we think he is only a chance of playing LB? There's so many midfielders in our squad now.

If all the signings come through then our midfield will contain a lot of players on big coin:

-Delph
-Besic
-Possibly Gordon after new contract
It's nice to have backup but that is far too many wasted wages.

Mina + Arias + James are all playing together successfully for Colombia. You dont play Keane there...you complete the trifecta.

Also, for me Gordon for the left over Zaha.

If were splashing out on 28/29 year olds then we need to take advantage of that and have younger players with them in the side.

Depends on the formation.

If we have a diamond we start 4 mids then ideally need 7 or 8 of them.

But we can shift the wide players.

If were going for a 3 we need 5 or 6.

I know and it's hilarious. I don't think there is much of a gap between any of the 3 but on form Keane is at the top right now.
