We have no decent right back though, so we can't play narrow.

To be honest I think Ancelotti will be tempted to play Rodriguez over on the right. He did so for Madrid on occasion.

The media in Italy reported that we enquired but Napoli aren’t interested in a deal. I’d say that it’s a long shot at this point.

Why would we need depth in the wide positions but not at full back? We have got wingers, same as we've got full backs, people just want an upgrade. There's no real difference in what would be required.

Wish people would stop asking for a right-winger. Why not just play a formation that doesn't need them? We have zero decent wingers and people want us to play a formation that requires 3-4 in the squad... baffling.

Because the ability to mix it up and change formation, either before or during games, makes us a better outfit.

First choice for me is an athletic right back who is speedy and can get up and down. After that I'm happy, but if we can also bring in a right winger, ideally left footed, that is the icing on the cake

I would guess we have spent what money was available and the next players in will be loans or funds generated from outgoings.
I expect 2 more ins 1 loan and one more signing late in the window.
