Loaning the impressive Gordon out at this stage especially to recruit the step-over king would be a major misstep for me as well as a massive disappointment.

I’m personally not arsed with Zaha. He could have forced the issue last year but chose not to. I think he could be another Bolasie anyway.

If we did actually only get James for the £12m BBC say, that means we’ve spent roughly £50m. There was talk of £60m we had to spend because of FFP (but I still don’t understand what is going in with that), so we could probably afford another outlay signing and Tomori on loan.

That is a good sign because there are arguments for all three and each brings their own individual strong points.

I am particularly pleased about Doucoure in the short term because he is the only one of the three that knows exactly what he is facing.
Both Allan and JR face a language barrier, a new team and a new league. We must be prepared to give them time to settle. We cannot expect a 9/10 performance every day from the first game.

Don’t thunk there is too much in Zaha. For the right price I think we would be interested )he’s better than Bernard and Iwobi).

Just don’t think it’s a massive priority now though. Not one to pursue when we’ve already got there midfielders in; and looking likey to have a CB in, along with a potential GK and hopefully FB.

I think we may only be interested in Zaha if it involves players going the other way. I could see Palace wanting somebody like Iwobi and a cash settlement.
