Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

I think our leagues never had as much strength in depth as it does now.

Other leagues certainly lack something in comparison, outside of the top clubs, hence why English clubs do so well in European competitions. Even rubbish like Celtic and Rangers did well in the Europa league this year.

I personally think more individual errors in our league is caused by the quality that players play against week in week out, it never really lets off. There are no free weeks, unlike in other leagues and I also put some of it down to the intensity inside the stadiums, no matter who is playing. Again, this never lets off.
I don't know what they're calling errors to be perfectly honest but I would expect that they are mistakes that are independent of who you're playing against. Leaving a back pass short for example would be an error and wouldn't really change because someone is better or worse on the other end.

Not actually true. Better oppositions, better strikers, more alive to sniff out half chances like back passes, pressure errors in defenders etc.

Dont dare come at The Prem.
It's got a weak bottom because of the distance between the bottom and top and the vast wealth that causes teams to play safe. Bottom half teams play very low grade football by choice and that hampers them. Look at Burnley in Europe for an example. Or Southampton.

But the top is strong.

Not even worth arguing about. If you want to believe keepers can't make easy saves or defenders shank clearances because of some false superiority of PL players have at it.

Seems logical to me that more pressure from faster, more athletic defenders would mean more errors. But you're partly correct: it's not worth arguing with you about.
Again it really depends on what is classified as an error. Because I'm imagining someone losing the ball because of pressure wouldn't exactly count, but shanking a cross into your net would. If both are being counted then you guys are right.
