Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

I can never tell if these comments are genuine, or they know clubs are sniffing around and make strategic statements like this to maintain a value.
Yeah last season he said the midfield was good and then went and bought a brand new one before the season started lol
I wouldn’t be surprised to see any of Davies, Besic, Bolasie, Delph, Walcott leave in the coming days. I’d be surprised to see Sigurdsson or Bernard go as I think they have done a decent job from the bench and against the lower league teams in cup and I’d be surprised to see Iwobi go because he’s only been here a year and is young enough to improve and also mostly the fact that all three are on huge wages nobody else would pay.

I'm expecting a CB loan and that's it tbh.

I think it's pretty telling that the only real suggestions about us being interested in players now are about a centre back.

The right back rumours have all died down, the links to wingers have dried up and the goalkeeper stories all seem to have disappeared.

Nice optimism, can't see arias asking to leave leverkusen a week after signing for them though

If we can get 1,2 and 3 top of the carts, we can do anything we want lol

What a laugh this last few days have been eh? Usually at this time of the year we Evertonians are exasperated by failed signings and false dawns and wanting to just hide under an 'effin rock somewhere.

Once Tosun is back it will be like a new signing - an average one.

It's starting to look like loans only - out and in.
Leaving aside any discussion of funds/FFP the current squad size is unmanageable. We are obviously in need of a CB and will get one in but I can’t see us adding in any other areas until we can get a few out. Again, not a comment on financial matters but based on Carlo’s own quotes about the squad being too big.

Crazy thought
The Napoli President De Laurentis was pimping Koubailly out to City last week ,complaining that City would not talk directly to Napoli over the Jorghinho affair
Napoli are obviously struggling for cash (as are a lot of European clubs ) so at 29 they may realise this is their last chance to cash in on Koubailly
A 30-40 m bid may test their resolve because they know nobody is going to pay the quoted 80 m now City have bought Dias
Get it done Farahd
You wanted Koubailly when you first came in and now with Ancellotti and Allan here this is your time to shine

Tbh I really wanted a RB because Coleman was pretty crap last season but he's started quite well in these 3 games to be fair to him so maybe we'll just hang onto him for 1 more year.

We need to offload Delph, Bolasie, Walcott, Sandro & Besic off the wages.

Realistically I can only see a centre back coming in and a potential RB if Kenny is sold.
I feel we can cope with Richarlison, Bernard, Rodriguez, Iwobi and Gordon as wingers for this season.

If FFP wasn’t an issue, I would buy young CB with potential, RB, RW.
I just don’t see us getting those 5 offloaded before the window shuts but we can live in hope. I could cope with getting rid of those 5 and keeping the squad as it is until Jan, apart from adding a CB, and then looking to strengthen then.
