5m a year x 5 year contract.

25m is peanuts for a proven Premier League player.

I mean I wouldn't be paying it, but he's still very cheap if he only wants 100k.

What this says to me, is his move to one of the other clubs is not as far along as he would like. Doesnt sound we are massively keen either.

Maybe if hes still unattached in a week or so, we can throw a cheeky 70k pw in?

Remember Spurs being linked with him not too long ago... he's nowhere near their standard, mind

We need to sort the defence out, we'll get goals and chances but we can't keep outscored sides because we can't do the basics at the back.

Gabriel and Silva in would be outstanding business and if we could add a right back it give us a solid base for us to attack.

Hojbjerg would more then fill the Schneiderlin shaped hole. Height, strength and can play a fair bit of we are looking at £15/20m a good signing.

Right winger is the next position and Denis Bouanga looks very interesting but I still hold hope for Everton to sign.

It seems as though the main story today is that, despite not being linked with him by any serious outlet, some posters want us to jib off Bernard and replace him with Ryan Fraser on similar wages. Iwobi wasnt a panic buy, we approached him in March.

I'd say maybe let someone else pay him a cheeky 70 k a week and we try and attract a better standard of player.

I wouid be happy to see Bernard go. On high wages he’s 27, probably could get a decent fee he’d suit a few leagues. But not if it was to waste the money on rubbish like Fraser.
