Makes sense to spend as much as possible this season then cut back a bit next & sell the likes of Keane/Iwobi etc. Next summer to balance the books when other clubs have the finances to buy our crap.

Not to mention expiring contracts next summer should help the books

I think someone will go this summer to makes things a bit easier, I have a feeling it might be Pickford maybe to Chelsea? Which I am OK with, Digne another possibility.
They have to get at least 2 Midfielders in and a right back and right winger/sided midfield player which wont be cheap so I expect a big name to go just hope it isn't Richarlison or DCL

I would think he will do well with his pace and versatility.

I am not sure of Chelsea style under Lampard, but he has the tools to do well in the league. Get in excellent positions, can cut in from the wing, can play central, can play as a one of a 2 man attack or 3 man. He can drift in and out of games a lot, but that is quite normal for a lot of forwards.

Was listening to that Duncan Castles podcast last night he seemed to be suggesting Italian clubs like Juve will be desperate to get players off their books and there could be a few bargains to be had later in the window.

If FFP isn't an issue this summer should tell us once and for all whether Usmanov is bank rolling us. If he is we should be able to spend lavishly. If we sign Ryan Fraser and a load of other no marks then I think we can put the rumour to bed.

I wouldn't be so certain. At present FFP isn't going next season. If you sign Ryan Fraser and sell him next season you make a pure profit.
