Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

We already have Bolasie, Sandro, Schneiderlin and Siggurdson who are drawing huge wages and are nigh on unsellable and we are only just getting rid of Niasse and Martina. If Fraser was going to play 25+ games a season for the duration of his contract then maybe, maybe it's an ok deal. However, if he plays less than that, or worse he gets dropped and struggles to get back into the team how are we going to shift him on those wages? We have too many millstones and Fraser has future millstone stamped through him like a stick of rock.

3 of the four players you mention cost us 100 million pound before we even started paying their wages, whereas Fraser is on a free. Sandro was on a free as well, but he is a complete donkey whereas Fraser isn't.

I think we will say goodbye to Bolasie, Sandro and Schneiderlin this summer, one way or another. They all have a year left, so they will be sold or loaned out and never seen again.

Guess whos hes scored the most goals against tho.

I'm trying to be a bit more zen about transfers. He's not a massively eye catching name but when we've signed those it hasn't really worked out.
It’s not how eye catching a name he is that bothers me to be honest, it’s how obvious a target he would be. It’s got Everton written all over it. In terms of recent links the likes of koopmeiners and min-Jae are much more the profile of players
I expected us to target when brands came in. I’m not saying they’re the individuals we need, but a player from the Dutch league On the verge of an international cap and somebody making their first European Move are where we could strike gold. The moves for established PL averageness and top level cast offs just leave me cold to be honest, and have got us precisely nowhere in the many years we’ve been doing it.

Yeah the fee is an important aspect because we can sell Fraser on for 2m and it still goes in as profit where doing the with Bolasie is a disaster financially.

100k a week. Ryan Fraser. Tell me those two things belong together.

He'll want a minimum 4 year contract as well. Brentford on loan 2022/23 with us paying 90% of his wage and lids on here saying "what's Brands supposed to do, nobody will take on his wages".

He's arguably better than all our wingers right now, so crippling knee injury aside, the worst case is that he is a squad player when we sign wingers better than him. On a free I can live with that.

You can argue that, like you used to do with Iwobi. You could argue it, but it doesn't make it true.

I guess in reality you are right here. We do already have a mid-table at best PL player, on wages that are going to make him difficult to move, who came in on a free in that position already, so what is really the point in getting another?
