Everton Transfer Thread - Summer 2020

People are desperate to provide excuses! They’re also still blaming Walsh when Brands brought in Iwobi and Gbamin for 50 million pound last year!

I can’t stand seeing some of these formations that are including Iwobi on the left or even as a number 10. There was a formation a few pages ago that had Iwobi playing as a 10 and Coutinho playing on the left ffs.

If Richarlison is gona play upfront, then we really should be bringing in Ryan Fraser; as Iwobi is absolutely shocking and the thought of having him as our left midfielder is truly frightening as we will go absolutely nowhere with him.

Once again, I'm not in love with Ryan Fraser, but I think he is better than what we have already. He certainly isn't any worse!
He’s had one good season. In terms of assists And averages 4 goals a season in the prem. he would probably cost us 20 mil. And in a couple of years we will have another average player in his late 20’s we can’t get rid of. I’m sure we could loan some one just as good for a season. Than committing to a 5yr deal for Fraser

You can’t blame Brands for gbamins injury, that’s just rotten luck. He was also building for a 433 system. And we now have a manager that wants to play 442. Again is Brands to blame for that.

I’m not happy with iwobi or Bernard down our left. And I’d sell them both if I could, but that’s unlikely to happen this summer. And maybe Gordon will get a chance to play down the left this summer.

Yes, yes he is. And we dont need utter brain dead morons like that following us.

May as well blame the Kit man. We could sign Messi and he could get an unforeseen injury in the first game and never play again. It is what it is.

I can understand criticism of Delph for injuries as he’s always had them. Can understand criticism of Iwobis signing as to whether he’s good enough.

Blaming him for bringing in a player to do a key role and he’s injured after 2 games is nonsense. If he’s been told by the medical team the injury is a risk then yeah, but it’s his first issue with that injury and it couldn’t have been foreseen.

There is zero foundation for it

You cannot blame someone for a player getting a long-term injury like he did. It's that simple. Gbamin is still down as unproven. How on earth can you see that coming? Crazy.

Brands also isn't in control of physio, strength and conditioning nor is he a doctor. If he's been brought back too soon then Silva (who apparently did that) and the medical team have to be responsible. To blame the DOF for an injury is comical.

Unproven, so could easily be as cack as the other 25 million he wasted on Iwobi. At least Iwobi can actually kick a ball without needing a trip to A+E.

Right so the jury is still out on Gbamin and you can’t blame a DOF for an unpredictable injury he’s had no form of having.

If Gbamin comes fit and is awful, then okay there is substance to it. If he comes back and is useful then you say well done.

So we cack ourselves over the cost of Fraser but persist with the more expensive yet inferior options of Iwobi and Bernard?

People might not like it, but if you are going to refer to Fraser's stats, then you should acknowledge that they are better than Iwobi's and Bernard's.

He's not going to come back. He needs to call an ambulance every time he kicks a football. And we paid 23 million for him.

Have you got the lotto numbers for next week? Seeing as you have a crystal ball

Last time I checked, you actually need to be able to kick a ball in order to play central midfield. He can't even do that. So I find the idea of him coming back and getting stuck in to be far fetched. There's a chance, but it's the type of chance Lloyd Christmas had with Mary Swanson.

That is literally how he got injured the first time, doing shooting drills

Exactly mate. Can't even kick a ball.

To do shooting drills you have to KICK A BALL, he most likely overstretched to shoot from an over hit touch on or planted his foot awkwardly after shooting, total freak incident that can happen at anytime

Prime example, when I was in senior school, I was playing basketball with my mates, just doing innocuous jump shots and I wound up pulling tendons in my knee as it collapsed under me on landing, something that still troubles me 17 years on
