So we cack ourselves over the cost of Fraser but persist with the more expensive yet inferior options of Iwobi and Bernard?

People might not like it, but if you are going to refer to Fraser's stats, then you should acknowledge that they are better than Iwobi's and Bernard's.
Didn’t I say I would sell them both? They aren’t good enough either.
But it’s unlikely we will get our money back on iwobi this season , so maybe give him a chance to see what he can do.

I’d sell Bernard no problem. But I wouldn’t buy Fraser to take his place. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

It’s like selling Michael Keane. And buying Lewis dunk

To do shooting drills you have to KICK A BALL, he most likely overstretched to shoot from an over hit touch on or planted his foot awkwardly after shooting, total freak incident that can happen at anytime

Prime example, when I was in senior school, I was playing basketball with my mates, just doing innocuous jump shots and I wound up pulling tendons in my knee as it collapsed under me on landing, something that still troubles me 17 years on

If his first injury was caused by kicking a ball, then so was his second, or was it his third? His latest injury was caused by kicking a ball anyway. He kicked a ball back to Gomes in training and they had to call an ambulance.

Technically, he may remain capable of kicking a ball, but if doing so lands you in hospital for 12 months, then you aren't going to make a very good footballer. You need to kick the ball more than once a year if you want to be a successful footballer.

All I see is arguments for holding on to crapper players because Ryan Fraser isn't as good as an imaginary signing that would cost 40 million and isn't going to happen. It's the attitude that saw Everton bring in Sigurdsson and Rooney whilst Leicester got Maddison.

We wouldn't need to buy Fraser, he's available on a free.

It would be like selling Michael Keane and bringing in a better defender on a free, which I can see happening tbh. That's if there are any clubs that are actually interested in buying Michael Keane.

Iwobi should be 'given a chance to see what he can do' somewhere else. It's the only way he will be able to generate enough interest so that someone may be stupid enough to buy him. Otherwise he will continue doing what he does here; sod all!

We spent twenty seven million on Iwobi and he has played what, thirteen games for us. He was injured and hasn't had many games under Ancelotti. We won't be selling him this summer and wouldn't get anywhere near what we paid if we did now. And yes he needs a run preferably in his best position before we cast him aside.

Great, can’t wait.

What is his best position by the way? Just so everyone is clear on that? It’s not some position that he’s seldom played and is highly unlikely to play is it?

Like being a number 10 or something?

He’s had one good season. In terms of assists And averages 4 goals a season in the prem. he would probably cost us 20 mil. And in a couple of years we will have another average player in his late 20’s we can’t get rid of. I’m sure we could loan some one just as good for a season. Than committing to a 5yr deal for Fraser

You can’t blame Brands for gbamins injury, that’s just rotten luck. He was also building for a 433 system. And we now have a manager that wants to play 442. Again is Brands to blame for that.

I’m not happy with iwobi or Bernard down our left. And I’d sell them both if I could, but that’s unlikely to happen this summer. And maybe Gordon will get a chance to play down the left this summer.
Is it brands’ fault that we appointed a manager with a different philosophy to the one we sacked? Yeah it is really. It’s Literally one of the main reasons you have a DoF, to make sure stuff like that isn’t an issue.

Left or a ten yes. Look he wasnt my first choice last summer but he has more than he has shown so far for us and thirteen games some out of position don't really allow me to judge. He needs a run in the team. Anyway it's all moot we need a right winger and a midfielder most desperately.

He’s no 10, that’s an excuse used to absolve how unbelievably crap he is on the left.

He was crap at Arsenal and he’s been crap at Everton. I know that we will struggle to get rid of him but we should at least try, and we shouldn’t persist with him at the expense of bringing in better players.

Get him out on loan and bring Fraser in on a free.

Not sure Fraser is better mate. Not sure at all he is a tidy little player but would rather save our money for actual difference makers in positions where we are thin. We have three if not four players who can play on the left. We have Walcott and maybe Gordon who can play on the right.

As I said key positions are central midfield and right wing probably a right back and centre back depending who we can shift.

But we aren’t going to sell iwobi for 5 mil or even 10 abd take a huge loss after one season and he’s still only 24.

And there no such thing as Free transfer. He will want big wages at least a 4 year deal, probably a 5. And a big signing on fee, Your talking 20mil. That can be put to better use. For me he’s not better than iwobi or Bernard and the way you’re talking. I would expect some top teams in fir him. He only has 11 caps for that 3rd world football team called Scotland at the age of 26. Ffs he should have about 50 already. Probably getting kept out the side by Snodgrass

And we can’t do nothing now about buying iwobi fur 28mil. But we can stop making the same mistake. The ultimate question is, is Fraser good enough to kick us on, The answer is no.
So he shouldn’t be signed under any circumstances.

Also Maddison went to Leicester the year after we signed siggurdsson. Again I didnt want siggurdsson, he was a shocking buy. But we were never going to buy someone to replace him after one season. So I’m not sure how interested we actually were in Maddison.,

Yes thats the philosophy, but obviously once a manager like Ancelotti comes available. Moshiri went for him. And rightly so imo

If the philosophy has to change for a couple of seasons, then so be it.
