Calvert Lewin was six months or so in the under 23s, Lookman about a fortnight.

On the other side there is Degn, Guilllaume Plessis, Pascucci, Anderson Silva, Anton Peterlin, Cody Arnau(sp?), Vellios, Magaye (both made some first team starts but not sure they played much for the reserves), Francisco Junior, Hewelt etc

But again dcl and lookman are English coming from English teams, those sort of signings we've done well at, but as you've proved, zilch when buying young foreigners.

Ok...so we dont have the right DoF....not a good start...with our current DoF we will end up with third or even fourth options from the list of players we want. Not to mention that they will have just a couple of weeks to adjust to the team...

I thought we wanted to be compare to the top teams...surely if we want to break top 6, qualify for champions league, we better start to look at what those teams do right and perhaps try to emulate at least a bit within reason...

Every club’s signings between now and Sept 12th will have the same issue because of the shortened time frame between the extended end to 19/20 and beginning of 20/21
