While I still think the lack of Iwobi changed the dynamic, I completely agree Maupay doesn’t have a place and Simms should start. He seems a much more natural fit but doesn’t have enough time.
It changed it, so did Davies being some weird right winger, as Gray instantly went to the left wing so he can run into McNeil lol but when the things were going well we needed someone to do the simple thing - apply a finish or at least contest it. Maupay receiving that low cross near the 6 yard box and his first touch going so far away from him that it posed absolutely no threat just sums him up really.

I'm usually fine with defeat but that was hard to take. Until the penalty I genuinely thought there's no way we could lose that game. Not signing a striker in January is absolutely criminal.

It's not just that, as mind boggling as it was.....its repeated mistakes...its signing Rondon!....its Maupay...its Tosin...its not selling Kean when it was clear it wasn't gonna work, to open up funds for someone else..

Years of not being able to sign a decent number 9 (and not a world class striker, just a decent one that would keep us safely mid table)

Any half decent striker traps that, swivels and gets a shot away. Man couldn't do all 3 of those things in a row to save his life.

Awful performance again. If Calvert-Lewin isn't fit for all our remaining home games we are down.
We'll probably need to nick some draws away. Not looking good.
Another stupid mistake puts us on the back foot. Those penalties are always gonna be given. What was Gueye doing.
and as for Coady on the 2nd...both him and Tarkowski seem to have grown lego feet. We cannot play them both.
