…it would seriously be a major disaster.
Well since he had his first spell in charge, we've had Benitez and Lampard you do t really get any major disasters in football than their time here. Seriously I don’t believe Dunc would have done any worse, but Dunc aside hiring someone like Poch would just be the same again I’d be surprised if he could do anything with this lot.

He stupidly thought “Ah small town Brighton, under the lights. We’ve never practiced pressing, and when we tried it at Spurs that time we got massacred. And no Onana. But tonight’s the night. Back to a back 4. Full walking press for the first 15 minutes see if these fannie’s can cope with us.”

Managers who realise we are utter crap get the most points. Carlo got more points playing with 4 centre backs. As it happens the negative dirge we got from FSW produced more points per game than this “progressive” style. Joke.
It's progressive though, its dire tedious stuff, its not like we were under Martinez where we were conceding silly goals from overplaying and attacking too much (Well tonights goals were daft of course) we set up defensively and play negatively and still get humped.

I'm fuming at the fact that after watching the first 45 minutes we were sent out to do more of the same.

To be honest it's always the same answer off everyone, " Sack the manager" but whoever manager we bring in, even Ancellotti, the real problems will still remain, our owners and our Chairman with his merry entourage called a board of directors.
I agree. But the owners and board can be blamed for the terrible squad. But the manager and his staff has to be blamed for consistently getting worse than terrible results. However crap are players are, results are worse.

I don't know if it really matters who the manager is at this point. I've not been in the Lampard out camp so far, but it's less about thinking he's a great manager (he's not) and more about admitting that it would take a herculean effort to turn this squad of players into a good team. So unless we're actually going to get a world-class manager, what's the point of changing yet again, just for the sake of change?

Of course, if you lose at home to Brighton 4-1, I don't see how there's a way back from that, whoever's fault it was ultimately.

Even if we pulled a world-class manager out of a hat, it doesn't really change anything in the long-run, though, does it? I mean, we had Carlo, who by any criteria is undoubtedly world-class, and even with a slightly better team than this (at least offensively we had Richy, James, Digne, etc.), he still only got them to mid-table.

By all means, let's just keep spinning the manager wheel, though. Maybe we'll at least stay up a bit longer. But if something isn't done at higher levels in the club than the manager and done sooner than later, then none of this is doing anything but postponing the inevitable.

City we’re flying so we played it tight and everyone knew what they were doing.

Brighton are flying as well so why Change it all around? They looked like a clueless bunch of biffs out there tonight.

Yet another bad call from Fat boy. He keeps making them and therefore he has to go.
