1-1 with 2 days preparation to play against one of the most tightly drilled and technically accomplished teams in this league is a very good result.

Brighton will go away from home to give most of this league a battering.

I think the lack of preparation hasn't been factored into people's assessment, given the, err, limited nature of our squad. Not complaining about it, it's just how it is. They had a full week, we had 2 days.

It does however make Dyches lack of proactivity in changing it even more galling.

Still feel a bit disappointed we didn't close that game out. Again Dyche scrimping on subs. Players were getting tired and he didn't change things. Got away with it in the cup but we got found out today. 80/20% suggest they probably deserved something from this game so will take a point. Away day in London next. We're only one point better off than at this stage last season. Same GD too but it feels a bit better now. UTFT

Yeah he's a reactionary manager lobbing on two subs in the dying embers. He's alright for now but not a long term manager for me

The Burnley game midweek for me was always going to be a factor yesterday. Could see from the 70 min mark we were starting to get deeper and getting slower out to the wide areas. Overall I’m happy with the performance, just think we didn’t make the most of the counter attacks in the second half. It’s frustrating with dyche not willing to make subs, because tactically we were sound. It’s something that we are going to have to accept I feel. I do feel most our players can play 3 games a week, however 3 games in 6 days and we played a fully rested Brighton at the end of it is a little naive for me. The amount of ground are players have covered this week due to the way we play and set up, he needs to trust his subs at times. It shouldn’t be a massive issue as we won’t play 3 games most weeks, but fresher legs on are right side yesterday and we probably get all 3 points. Still think dyche is doing a good job so far and hope it continues.

better teams will just score then we come out kill is off

unless he learns to make changes ams not make players run out of steam it will keep happening
I would assume most people would say Brentford, West Ham and Brighton are better teams, yet we've taken 7 points off them.

I'd prefer it if we had a more proactive manager. And his reluctance to change things till late on will defo cost us sometimes.

Our wingers worked their socks off but did not connect with midfielders or wingbacks as part of their wide play. If that is the game plan, then just hug the line and invite the challenge and win the throw-in.

Other than Mykolenko's goal didn't see any of the match.

Even if we scratched out a win, the stats point to a very boring game on our part.

Possession 20%. That is mind numbing.
