The laws of the universe dictate that if Everton have an opportunity to make a statement in the league we'll always pass it up. Honestly with the quality in this team we could be walking off with the top 4 but as usual Everton choke whenever we're close to achieving anything of note. It's happened for decades and will happen again this season. It's not Martinez and it wasn't Moyes it's just Everton.

He has assisted Lukaku numerous times in previous seasons but his link up play is different than Kone's. What Mirallas offers is distant shooting after cutting from the left. We have been attacking through the right a lot this season cos of Del so if we deploy Mirallas on the left with Barkley AM there are so many permutations.

I too would like to see how Deulofeu and Mirallas on the same pitch would work out. Two skillful playmakers, one on each flank, it's got to be worth a try.....

Re. Kone, i think his first touch let's him down far too often, and sometimes his decision making. He has a long way to go to match Lukaku, and i think he's best atm coming on from the bench as an impact player rather than playing the full 90. He's improved a lot from last season though, so who knows what the future might hold.

palace are a decent team on that performance, rode their luck though with us hitting the woodwork 3 times so we should have won but not a disgraceful result. Plenty of half decent teams will go down to them. We should have beaten them but shizzle happens, everton happens.

We were not playing badly and if he changed things around its possible we would have lost our momentum so its a hard one to call.
