That Zaha has been complaining about referees tolerating fouls on him.

I kept an eye on him today and it seems to me his whole game is about putting himself in positions which invite fouls.

Every time he gets the ball he manoeuvres himself into a position where he is between the ball and his opponent.

I have just seen today’s penalty incident.

The only reason Seamus was able to “foul” the bugger was because, after nicking the ball past our guy, he turned back, ensuring Seamus’s trailing leg made contact with him, instead of continuing his advance on goal.

Palace were horrible to play against today. They gave so little away but we kept going and got the result. In future we have to get the tempo going quicker in games like today. You can't afford a sluggish start because it quickly becomes a long afternoon.

He's an absolute pain in the backside to play against in games like today because he holds onto the ball for so long and draws so many fouls. Rarely do you feel like he's going to cause any real danger but he just takes the sting out the game.

Nowhere near a top level player though and must be infuriating to play alongside.

Spot on.

We all know we’ll probably get nothing v Utd but this has to be the most confident we’ve rolled up against them for a while. I just pray we give them a good game at the very least; it’d crush momentum for us to go and roll over, Moyes style.

Not me...l don’t know that.

I am expecting at least a point ......and very possibly all three

Between Pickford and Gana for me but Pickford gets it. Distribution was good, made a couple of good saves and even though the pen was poor, you still have to save it and it was a crucial moment in the game.

Gomes looks like he is going to be yet another cracking signing. For his first game in the premier league, he looked as though he has been playing in it for a while and oozed quality. Going to be an important player for us this season.

Special mention for the Referee too who was abysmal imo. Premier League need to get a grip of their officiating and sort it out (which they wont of course). Just gets worse every season and it is difficult to name a decent ref now. 9 matches so far and not one consistent and competent referee to date.

Great win today lads and nice to see us up to 8th. Some tough games coming up but we seem to play better away at the moment so who knows, we might get some surprising results.

Maybe now is the time to start him in the next game ahead of Walcott.
Gomes will only get better with games.
Poor for long periods but better at the end.
The manager went for the win and that was fantastic to see.
I cant even find much fault with Walcott. The service to him was awful.
Lookman was the standout at the end because he was able to get the delivery spot on. Our passing and crossing all day was terrible. And we were ponderous with the ball at our feet. The way to beat them is to shift the ball twice as quick as we were doing. I think Silva knows this, thank goodness.
