Fulham were average as well. Not a good sign. Imagine being told Maupay will be starting the first game a few months ago.

Game 1 forfeited due to again being underprepared for the season. Villa away next up. If they don’t get their finger out this week that’s likely another game down the drain.

Wolves the next home game. We 100% need players over the line before that game. Can’t be throwing away home games to Fulham and Wolves.

We all know it was going to happen and we've been here before. Throwing games away before the mad dash at the end of the window....then a month to bed in the players.

We may as well not bother for 2 months.

Can’t imagine us getting anything away to Villa, but even if we were to get a point, it doesn’t help anything if we can’t turn around and beat Wolves at home.

Fulham would have absolutely taken a point today, they had no Mitrovic to start and no Paulinha. No excuses with our absences, that’s a game we should have won and have had sealed up by half time. I can’t bare another season of losing half of our home games and not scoring any goals. It’s criminal that Maupay started today.

Why are people surprised though?

One new player started and he was probably the best performer...which was a 38 year old left back.

The rest is the same squad doing the same things. It's doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Thought we'd get at least a point but as it went on and we missed chance after chance, it was inevitable they'd put one away.

The performance is similar to games Dyche had last season and the same issues are here. We need a striker. We need an attacker.
But it was Dyche doing the same things and expecting a different result. I don't get your defence.

Also, if Fulham would have had a tricky player up front, we would likely have had a Michael Keane calamity to put us a goal down even earlier.

Dyche could have played Danjuma. He could have brought him on earlier. He could have thrown Cannon on. He could have brought Dobbin on sooner if that is the sub he is going to make. He does nothing to affect games. Anyone watching that first 45 would have known that we weren't going to break the deadlock in the second half without changes or a huge slice of luck - penalty, own goal etc.
