If the plan was not to have DCL in the squad, why didn’t he tell us in the press conference?

I'm pretty sure he did. Baffled why people are remotely shocked by the line up today. I was hoping he would go with Branthwaite but not at all surprised he has settled on Keane.

With injuries (slightly too early for danjuma after his set back last week) and business not being done on time this was inevitable. Got to hope we can grind something out.

Criminal to not have a better striker through the doors. DCL is perma broken and we’ve known this for a long time. Welcome back Everton…hating my weekend already

Sorry to say it but I hope Maupay is booed to high heaven when he's ultimately hauled off after 60 minutes after yet another pathetic effort. When will the manager realise that him up front = essentially playing a man down? Slow, cannot head, cannot tackle, awful in possession, gets in unnecessary tangles, appalling finisher. Dobbin needs to be getting his transfer request in alongside Branthwaite here - disgraceful that the pair cannot get in over Keane and Maupay.

mother mercy, the irony of that pic.
I mean, I really cannot understand why people are suddenly "deflated" - nothing has changed and we've had the entire summer to calibrate our expectations as a result - but that photo would properly send anybody sentient over the edge, to be fair.

We be suspect to the ball in behind with Keane, for me and just amazed he gets a game. We have a player in Braithwaite
DYCHE OUT!!!

F useless that he thinks that Keane is better than Branthwaite and Maupay is better than a traffic cone.

When Keane was talking up Maupay in pre-season I had a feeling this S was going to happen.

I'm not blaming Dyche for the mess the club is in, but I think that's a poor selection and sends such a backward message that we start with 'failed' players.

No matter what I hope as a team they can get a win today.
