If Maupay takes one chance in ten, just need to create another six chances for him in the second half and he’ll get a goal

Every other striker on a run of bad form just resorts to hitting the target with good clean contact and power, eventually one flies in. Either through arrogance, ability shortage or both that he sometimes tries to “finish” and pea rollers it to the keeper or wide. Just focus on the ball and lash a few. Embarrassing at this point.

Decent movement though. If he could slot he’d have had an excellent half.

I thought the last 15 was very very strong. Breaking well, chances created. All midfielders contributing to the attacks positively. No surprise we can’t score but the rest was definitely not terrible for me

Is it too simplistic to point the finger at Maupay’s poor finishing? Two definitely should’ve gone in, plus the shot from the edge of the box at the end there. DCL scores those first two for me.

( Probably won’t though … leave him on till 85th min after he’s missed 3 more sitters )

He'll go with the "one of these will go in soon" before removing him after 70 minutes once he realises he could play all weekend and still not score.

One effective run and cross....fell over in the box and should have done better with some end product.

It’s been a good performance Zat. Causing them problems. Comparing him to an injured player not on the bench is pretty silly. He’s not as good as Messi either while we’re at it.
