I cant comment on the game as i didnt go, had a sneaky feeling we would have another Norwich game on our hands.
All i can say is that we are so inconsistent we are consistent at it lol
I still feel we havent recovered from about game 6/7/8 when Koeman started changing things like McCarthy starting full back, one game were Gana was pushed out to the right and such.
Not to say the players are perfect but i still feel the martinez way of overhyping players that are average to decent at best gives half the team a sense of entitlement.
Also anybody that has two retina's in their eye sockets can see that Barry is finished. We live in a era now where its not about your footballing skills, its how quick you can run 100Metres and target older legs, especially in midfield and centre half where managers tend to opt for experience (the footballing term for old age).
Right now we lack leadership in the roy keane mould, two wingers who can play at least 7/10 every week, and another striker who is level headed and not big headed.
Too many issues in this squad, unfortunately the manager will be gone before half the players.
I know its a massive rebuild but it hurts to know our season is over by January 7th.
Best koeman can do now is come out and say the season is a write off, im going to try different tactics and players ready for next season. Might buy him time and some players get a dose of reality.
