This game was heading for a 0-0 bore typical of when top teams cancel each other out. City's players heads were going down, they were huffing and puffing and getting nowhere, until the Howard blunder. The second goal was a goal that would win any game.

If we play like that against Spurs we should have too much for them. Sadly we seem to reserve our worst performances of the season for WHL and Anfield.

Thought a lot of good performances out there. One gripe is bringing on Naismith. Surely Kev would have carried more threat. Not sure if we learned anything from that game or from any of these opening 3 games. We continue to flatter to deceive.

There's two 0-2s could have happened today.
The 1st we get battered for 90 minutes - lose 0-2.
The 2nd we're very close all game and lose 0-2.
This was the latter.
Howard was brilliant until their first.
McCarthy in no way at fault for their second.
Just a brilliant goal.
Everton MOM: Barry.
Seriously just re-watch it.

Can't really complain about the result, City are different class.

My only complaint was the Naismith sub - we needed a winger to stretch the game and give us an outlet, not another central attacking player. Big mistake on Martinez's part.
