You know what's confusing? Before the match everyone was saying it was almost literally the 'No lose' situation. We win, guaranteed 5th. Draw, guaranteed Europe. Lose, RS title chances seriously dented. Then United and Spurs lost and loads of '[Poor language removed] fan you for wanting your team to lose' people popped up.

When did this radical shift occur? And why are people STILL bitching to each other about it?

City have been horrible to watch? they've scored the same amount of goals as Liverpool.
Off the top of my head, 4 at home to Newcastle, 4 at home to Manure, 4 at home to Southampton, 6 at home to Spurs, 7 at home to Norwich, 5 at home to Fulham, 4 at home to Cardiff, 5 away to Spurs and a lot of games where they've scored 3. I'd far rather watch City than Liverpool, the reason for Liverpool have scored so many is because at home they press pretty well, where as City have more than 2(3 if you include Steve Gerrard Gerrard smashing a free kick in) players that can provide a bit of magic. Rodgers is far more direct at the Kopites than he was for Swansea and in all honesty it's worked.
actually mate you have a point. city have probably been better to watch than i thought. but i will hold my hands up and also say most liverpool games have had drama. i will give you sunderland as an example. i cheered sunderland to the rafters but in the end liverpool won and i was gutted and pissed off.

Really good game, I thought...

Just watched MOTD, okay only 10 minutes or so. The playing of 3 cbs and moving the fbs up did not work. The cbs were lost not sure what to do or who was covering. The fbs being moved up left the wings wide open. So this tactic was not a success on this day against City. This was evident from the way City scored. Roberto did change this by taking Jags off and reverted to a more known style. Have to say Nais should have buried that chance.

Oh well game over great reception at the end for the manager and players, well done to the fans. On to Hull then the World Cup, Europe in August I think and a New Season. Roll on.

Are people seriously trying to suggest that everyone in the ground wanted us to lose and the players played to lose too?

I was in that ground today and I can tell you categorically that everyone around me wanted nothing less than an Everton win.

That's precisely what Martin Tyler was alluding to.

Great atmosphere in lower glwadys today! We were unlucky not to get a draw, Naismith works is arse off again but is as clinical as badger on heat!! Fek anyone who says we didn't will the team on today
