Looks like the most difficult quarter final now. They’re smack in form. That’s why I’d play James if he’s fit, we might only get a few chances and I’d rather he was on them than Sigmund fraud.

United thrive of space and a very very vunerable to pace. I don't think it is the game for him, especially if its the difference between him being available for the next 3 league games pre FA cup

I'm hoping they were not rushing him back for this very reason-i.e. at least don't lose, but aim for wins in the PL, and then focus on James for this QF

However good Gylfi has been last three games, I dont see any doubt that James is still no.1 for that type of player / position. We can't have both of them, but we can see really well that James is fitter, better defensively, and stronger than people give him credit for. At least as his supporters we can see that. but of course I wouldn't risk him for just this match. We need him for the whole season, and esp to be on top fitness for the end of the season :0 when we're battling those latter stages in the cups and League!! L:)

Gylfi doesn’t close down any docs and has no pace so swapping him for James doesn’t in any way make us weaker. We’re swapping the worst footballer in our squad for the best. James works harder, covers more ground, is more intelligent, and has a brain.

The only question re James is if he's fit. Personally he and most of our squad) should be rested v City. That is the game we should sacrifice to cover the bases. No point jeapardising winnable games for one that is a lot less winnable.

As others have suggested, I'd still save James here personally. Maybe put him on the bench as an option, but with United looking as expansive as they have done recently we need to stick with this more defensively disciplined system and I don't think we need to be in a rush to take Sigurdsson back out personally.

Got to go with the same backline.
They won't know what hit em after waltzing around against leeds.
I'd bring Seamus on around 65min and play him full game against sheffield; same with James

Their bench on saturday could all play. Our usual bench players mostly played sat.
Squad depth between the two is chalk n cheese.
