First 20 was awful. But we settled down after than. And the 2nd half was dull from both sides.

The league game loss was a far worse performance.

Id argue first 30, but agree that we grew into until half time, then they dropped to our level. We didnt turn up 2nd half

Seen plenty of bottle jobs over past 30 year, most have been against good sides though, we couldve easily been 5 down after half hour against one of the worst manure sides in my time when we are supposedly progressing.. at home, in a cup qf that we really really want to win.. the whole team looked scared.

They are a strong side. Ferguson won titles with much weaker squads than the one they have now.

It was daft from Cavani, and a red card, but Mina threw himself on the ground to exaggerate it. Let's not pretend here.

A minute or two later Cavani took loose control of a ball in front of Mina. Fairly high up the pitch too. A perfect opportunity to clatter him from behind and get away with it. Nope, of course not.

Things like that annoy me more. No real desire to match the opposition in their tenacity or snide.

Mina threw himself to the ground earlier at the other end and was wincing after a little bang on the nose. He'd have been far more productive kicking Cavani's bollocks in to orbit after windpipe-gate and giving the lads some hope......we we did lose anyway.

Done by a better team on the night. There midfield was far better, fast and more up for it than us. It just shows that when we lose people like allan we cant cope... need a few more top quality players.

He should have booted him in to orbit next chance he had.
