Hopefully Richarlison will be ready for the next game. How are we going to approach the city game? Are we going to rest a couple and get some young legs in the team and keep the back 4. I would rather go for full points against sheffield united and West Ham.

Things like that annoy me more. No real desire to match the opposition in their tenacity or snide.

Yeah it's still deffo a red, but I agree on Mina, he reacts as if Tyson had just caught him with an uppercut.
 
Mina, Keane, Godfrey, Doucoure all were decent,the rest just didn't show,Gomes and Bernard should have been busting a gut there tonight to impress but woeful again,love Seamus,yes I get he is our skipper and it's his first game back,but he really isn't with it anymore, Holgate has to come back in and a new right back(maybe Aarons) has to be targeted next month,still the mentality of "coasting"remains here and until Carlo has his own men in these results will happen unfortunately.

If I was Ancelotti I would let all the players have the day off tomorrow. Then do a very small session on xmas day but literally spend most of the time over the next 2 or 3 days letting the players recover.

Just look across the park. Liverpool have a far superior depth to their squad than us and look at the trouble they have had with fixture pile up. Its cost them numerous points in away games and despite sheff utds awful points return, any competent 11 in the prem will be able to capitalise on a team who is jaded and not at their best
 

A bridge too far as I suspected.

You can't win game after game against top 6 opposition with Iwobi, Gomes, Sigurdsson etc. And then richarlison has to go off. Injuries have killed us. It's not really anyone's fault.

We've done well to win the games we have. If we were to lose one, it's probably best it was this one as we were getting beat in the next round anyway. This trophy will be going to Manchester.

We're a different team without James and Digne. Our attacking threat is reduced by 75%. To lose Allan on top of that is horrendous, never mind anyone else.
 

I hope Carlo does not embarrass himself and us by making any excuses for that shambles. Maybe the only valid excuse is unsayable. My squad is full of crap players with no depth. Unless I am backed in the transfer market I am not hanging around.
