"We are disappointed, of course. It was an important competition for us. But, no regrets, because the team performed. We had a difficult start but after 25 minutes we were in control defensively. We were good defensively until the end and were close to the penalties. We have no regrets."
I despair.

Yeah it's still deffo a red, but I agree on Mina, he reacts as if Tyson had just caught him with an uppercut.

Yeah definitely. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with Mina there. Good gamesmanship means he has to make the most of it to try get him sent off. Wasn't that serious a foul though really.

A good welly up the arse a few minutes later in response would have been nice.

Ah well. Not the worst thing in the world to keep our fitness for the league.

Have to say, that makes for grim reading.

People moan about our expensive yet disjointed squad but for once we were up against an even more expensive yet disjointed squad.

We were playing a flat back four against a team who could push their full backs high and exploit how narrow we had to be. They had a better midfield. On the rare occasions we found ourselves on the front foot we choked at crucial moments. They got lucky with a refereeing decision. We lost. On to the next one.

The manager has to be diplomatic in public. I doubt he’ll have said that to the players behind closed doors.

Do you want him to say, "They were all garbage!"? He's needs to keep their spirits up.
